Introducing the 2013 Ada High School homecoming court

It’s Ada High School homecoming week. The high school homecoming court was announced on Monday. One senior will be homecoming queen and one will be homecoming king. The queen and king will be announced in a pre-game ceremony on the football field on Friday.

Here are the court members:

Seniors
Jessica Rojas Gutierrez is the daughter of Miguel Rojas and Socorro Gutierrez. She is captain of the soccer team, member of Language Club, National Honor Society and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She is also treasurer of FCA and treasurer of the senior class.

Kelsey Zimmerly is the daughter of Dave Zimmerly and LeAnn Pryor. She is a member of show choir, soccer and is an office worker. She is a member of First United Methodist Church and is a dancer at Rhythm in Motion Dance Centre.

Katelyn Guagenti is the daughter of Kim and Francis Guagenti. She is a kindergarten screener and helper, member of National Honor Society, treasurer of the Student Council, scholar athlete award winner, senior class president and play softball. She is a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ and volunteers at Lima Memorial Hospital.

Colton Hall is the son of Gary and Angie Hall. He works in the elementary office, and is a Super Fan. He works at Community Market.

Daniel Klingler is the son of Melissa and Todd Klingler. He is a member of the track team, basketball team and show choir. He is a member of Liberty Baptist youth group and the King James Club.

Saed Al-Olimat is the son of Khalia Al-Olimat and Feng Jau. He is a member of the football team, Language Club, National Honor Society and is senior class vice president.

Juniors

Haley Clum is the daughter of Bradley and Charity Clum.

Austin Windle is the son of Dawn and John Windle. He is a Super Fan, member of Book Club, cross country and wrestling. He attends the Alger Assembly of God.

Sophomores

Olivia Gonder is the daughter of Scott and Mollie Gonder. She is a member of Language Club, Beta Club, Book Club, Art Club, dogs volunteer, has received academic honors and is a member of the basketball team and tennis team.

Luis G. Olvera is the son of Domingo and Dominga Olvera. He is on the soccer team.

Freshmen
Anna Stransky is the daughter of Mike and Tonya Stransky. She is in cheerleaders and yearbook staff.

Trenton Jolliff is the son of Lyle and Mindy Jolliff. He is on the football and basketball team and is a member of the Liberty Baptist Church youth group.

Parade

The community is invited to participate in the parade. Any local business or organization interested should contact Chanda Smith or Lyn Davis at 419-634-2746.

The parade will form in the south parking lot of the school at 6 p.m. The parade will start at 6:30 p.m. The parade route is Highland to Main, downtown to College and onto Park, and to the stadium.

Parade planners are hoping for a larger than usual parade this year since the parade was cancelled last year due to heavy rain.

The king and queen will be announced in a pre-game ceremony at the field at 7 p.m. Ada plays Paulding in football at 7:30 p.m.

Saturday dance

This year’s homecoming theme “We’ve Got Class,” is the Saturday dance theme. The dance takes place from 8 to 11 p.m. in the Ada cafeteria. Tickets are on sale at $8 for a single and $15 for a couple.
