Men's golf rallies for 4th place finish at Taylor Invite

The Ohio Northern men's golf team rallied with a solid second round to finish tied for fourth out of eight teams at the Taylor (Ind.) Invitational Monday and Tuesday at the Egypt Valley Country Club.
The Polar Bears (23-17-1 overall), responded with a 14-over par 302 on Tuesday after posting a 33-over par 321 in Monday's opening round of the 36-hole tournament.
Sophomore Brandon Lambert led Ohio Northern with a 4-over par 76-72—148 on the par-72, 7111-yard course.
Junior Andrew Quintrell and freshman Blaine Ricketts tied with 157s and sophomore Rick Deichert finished with a 161.
ONU finished tied with Bethel (Ind.) with a 623.
NAIA member Holy Cross (Ind.) won the team title with a 305-301—606 and the Saints' Matthew Code won Medalist honors with a 70-72—142.
The Polar Bears have completed the Fall portion of their schedule and will return to action in March on their annual spring break trip to the southern part of the United States.
