Ada Youth Wrestling Club sign-ups today and Tuesday
The Ada Youth Wrestling Club sign-ups are Monday, Nov. 4, 2013 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. and Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Ada School Cafeteria (located West of the Ada High School Gym).
This will be for boys and girls 5-12 years old. All experience levels, from beginner to advanced, are welcome to participate. The club accepts children from all surrounding communities.
The Ada club isa member of the Miami Valley Kids Wrestling Association (MVKWA) based in Dayton. The MVKWA has more than 70 clubs that participate in local tournaments weekly from December through February.
According to Jason Sumner: "We encourage you and your child to join us for fun and excitement in the sport of wrestling this season. Our goal is to teach your child how to wrestle and compete safely while practicing sportsmanship along the way.
"Each child will be taught the basic techniques and skills needed to be competitive at their skill level. As your child’s skill level advances, so will the level of training he or she will receive. We will monitor each child during the season and provide individual attention with our experienced coaching staff.
"This will be the ninth season for the club and growing interest continues to help each season be more successful than the last. This season we have hopes of more participants and community support to help guide our sport.
"We are looking for elementary age children up to children preparing to enter Junior High. Our area has many successful wrestling programs and we are proud to be part of that group."
