Hardin Democrats meet Nov. 13 in Kenton
The next meeting of the Hardin County Democratic Central and Executive Committees will be held Wednesday, Nov. 13, at 7 p.m. at Henry’s Restaurant, 995 North Detroit St., Kenton.
Committee members should enter the north doors and turn to the loft area to the right. Those who would like to eat and order from the menu are invited to come at 6 p.m. to dine together.
Committee members will evaluate and make comments regarding the Fall Campaign Luncheon and Rally held at the Walnut Grove United Methodist Church with State Representative Kathleen Clyde as our guest speaker.
Initial discussion will be held regarding our Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, Presidents’ Day Luncheon at noon.
Chair Don Traxler will ask for the endorsement of Cuyahoga County Judge John O’Donnell who is a candidate for Ohio Supreme Court Justice. He will also seek endorsement and the passing of petitions for a statewide ballot issue.
A potential candidate for the United States House of Representatives, 5th Congressional District, will be present. He will be explaining his reasons as to why he is considering running for the position as well as his position on various issues.
He has already visited a number of counties and hopes to visit all of the counties in this district prior to the holidays.
Plans will be made for the holiday dinner and fellowship to be held Wednesday, Dec. 11, at 6:30 p.m. in Henry’s Banquet Room.
Other regular business will be conducted. Persons who subscribe to the principles of the Democratic Party are invited and encouraged to attend this meeting.
