Ada school geographic bee put on hold for now
Winter weather is playing havoc with lots of last-week-of-school programs. One of those events put on hold is the Ada School Geography Bee.
According to Suzanne Hardesty, gifted coordinator/intervention specialist for Ada Schools, the Bee was planned for Dec. 17, but, it was postponed.
Hardesty said, "The National Geographic Society sponsors this bee. Ada's winner takes a timed paper-pencil test and the winners of that test continue to the Ohio Geography Bee.
Medals go to the first, second, and third place studnets and are sponsored by Ada Academic Boosters.
The grade-level champions and alternates who have qualified for the event follow:
4th: Ireland Marshall, Alex Scott
