The following impacts to traffic related to the reconstruction and widening of Interstate 75 through Findlay and Hancock County are scheduled to occur:
Oct. 15 - Lima Avenue under U.S. 68/state Route 15 will close for approximately one year
Early November -Entrance ramp from U.S. 68/state Route 15 to Interstate 75 southbound to close for one year
The Hancock Historical Museum will host an evening of fun for all ages at a Halloween “Spooktacular!” on Saturday, Oct. 20, from 5-8 p.m.
Enjoy tours through the "haunted" Hull House, built in 1881. Sample seasonal treats cooked over the hearth in the historic Crawford Log House. Decorate pumpkins and cookies, or make a Halloween mask inspired by Findlay's own American Mask Factory.
Children will enjoy spooky storytelling, face-painting, crafts and games. The Derrick Express Learning Bus, Children’s Museum of Findlay, and the Hancock Parks District will also be on-hand with activities for guests.
FROM ADA BULLDOGS FACE BOOK - In Miss Steiner's elementary art classes students studied artists who are putting positive messages on the streets for the public to see. They were asked to create a poster that promotes a positive message at school. They choose their materials and created their own designs. They are all around our building right now. Safe Haven of Hardin County Domestic Violence Center will have a bush planting in the Ada Railroad Park at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 16, according to Deb Oestreich, program director.
“The bush will be in memory of those who have lost their lives to domestic violence and in honor of those who have survived,” she said.
Board members of the center will attend the ceremony, which is open to the public. The planting is in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, which is the month of October.
