Ada's latest news

It will now launch the football season - lots of new events planned

Ada’s now-famous football drop is moving, but all the fun from the event continues.

Previously held on Super Bowl Eve, this year’s Made in Ada Football Festival moves to Saturday, Aug. 25, in downtown Ada, according to Ada Area Chamber of Commerce.

The festival celebrates Ada’s remarkable contribution to the sport of football, as all footballs used in the National Football League are made in the Ada Wilson’s factory.

“The new date captures the spirit of a new football season for fans of all levels from midgets through NFL,” said Chris Burns-DiBiasio, chair of the event.

The 2017-18 season proved to be a season of growth for the Ohio Northern men's tennis team as it took a big step forward under the direction of second-year head coach Mike Bonnell.

The Polar Bears finished the season with a 15-9 record, its first winning season since the 2013-14 season and the most wins the program has posted since the 2012-13 season.

ONU also finished in third in the Ohio Athletic Conference with a 6-2 mark, the highest it has finished in the OAC since 2012-13.
