Saturday at the library - 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

If you had a good time at Ada Public Library on Saturday, then you'll want to return this Saturday, according to Natalie Walton, youth services librarian.

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Saturday is billed as Summer Reading Kickoff: Part II.

Events of the day are hosted by HOBY Ohio West Ambassadors, and include read-alouds, popcorn, games and animals. Contact the library for complete details.

 

Summer Music Booster fundraiser

It’s summer and who wants blueberries?

Ada Music Boosters are selling blueberries as a fundraiser to support the 2018-19 student music programs.

Blueberries are available at $32 for 10 pounds. The order deadline is July 9. Order pick-up takes place at the Ada park on July 12.

The blueberries are from New Jersey. To order your berries contact any Ada music student.

Machinery is being put in place for scheduled road work on State Route 195 south of McGuffey to CR 110. The closing begins June 9 and will last for 30 days. Here are Ken Collins’ photos looking south from McGuffey and looking north to McGuffey from County Road 110.

Libraries Rock is the theme

“Libraries Rock” is the theme of the Alger Library’s free summer reading program going on now through July 20.  Kids, teens and adults are encouraged to participate by checking-out and reading books to receive tickets for prizes to be awarded at the end of summer read.
