HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. — The Ohio Northern men's tennis team won its second consecutive match on Thursday morning as it swept Catholic (Wash.) 9-0 at Hilton Head Motorcoach Resort.
The Polar Bears improve to 6-2 on the season, while the Cardinals drop to 3-5.
Sophomore Connor Christian (Gallipolis/Gallia Academy) won 6-2, 6-1 at No. 3 singles, while freshman Drew Sarno (Elida) earned a 6-2, 6-0 victory at No. 6 singles to lead Northern.
ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. — Senior Lynn Kelly (Mason) and sophomore Mackenzie Wills(Ada) led the Ohio Northern women's tennis team as it wrapped up its spring break trip with a tight 5-4 loss to Coe (Iowa) in Altamonte, Florida.
The Polar Bears fall to 8-3 overall, while the Kohawks improve to 12-8.
Wills went 2-0 to lead Northern, posting a 6-3, 6-3 victory at No. 4 singles and teaming up with sophomore Kaleigh Cummins (Springfield/Northeastern) to win 8-3 at No. 2 doubles.
The weather and the calendar notwithstanding, this week has been Spring Break at Ada Exempted Village Schools.
Ada Elementary student Richard Moed took the occasion to visit the Neil Armstrong Space Museum in nearby Wapakoneta, where he piloted a Gemini spacecraft in a docking maneuver, landed a LEM on the moon, and landed a Shuttle after its journey around the Earth. Not a bad day's work for a fourth grader.

Chloe Noel, the tech guru at the Ada Public Library, will help library patrons learn about reading and listening to books on various devices. People can stop by the library anytime between 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 24.
