The Artists Boutique on Main - now open with "beautiful creations from local artists"
The Artists Boutique on Main, Ada’s newest business, is now open in the former Health Chek store at 117 S. Main St. Deb Curlis and Jennifer McDougall opened the shop last weekend.
Now featuring several artists, the shop hopes to eventually feature artwork from 25 or more vendors.

“We have so many neat things,” said Curlis. “While most of our vendors are from the Ada area we also have vendors from elsewhere in northwestern Ohio.”
Customers will see items including paintings, jewelry, pottery, woodworking, locally written books and clothing created from wool, just to name a few.
“We have a wonderful mix of items. For example, we have wool clothing accessories from a local resident,” said Curlis. “And, we are looking for more artists.”
Several activities, sponsored by the shop, are in the planning stages. For example, the shop hopes to have a book-signing event by a local author later in the spring.
On Tuesday, March 11, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. the shop will offer a beaded earring class. Ginger O’Connell of Ada is the instructor. RSVPs by March 6 are requested. The cost to participate in the class is $15 per person. To register call 419-788-9459.
