The Ohio Northern University Freed Center for the Performing Arts presents “Baby Boomers Comedy Show: Clean Comedy for People Born Before Seatbelts, Safety Helmets and Facebook” on Friday, Feb. 14, at 7:30 p.m.
CHECK OUT THE VIDEO AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS STORY.
In this hilarious 90-minute theatre event, veteran comedians Jan McInnis and Kent Rader hit all the familiar topics baby boomers are dealing with – family, kids, work, do-it-yourself projects, dieting, aging and all – and they do it with clean humor that’s been a hit at thousands of conventions.
Comedian Jan McInnis has cornered the corporate and association convention market. Inspired by 15 years as a marketing director in the 9-to-5 world, she has spent the past 17 years performing for thousands of organizations such as John Deere, Pep Boys, The Mayo Clinic and the American Heart Association. McInnis was featured in The Wall Street Journal as one of the top convention comedians whose act is clean.
Known as the “World’s Cleanest Comedian and Speaker,” Rader helps people and associations learn and experience how laughter matters in reducing stress and building quality organizations. He survived five years in public accounting and 12 years as CFO and CEO of hospitals before becoming a professional speaker in 1997. He has been heard on NPR’s “Talk of the Nation” and SiriusXM Satellite Radio. Rader is the winner of the Branson Comedy Festival and has been seen on Comcast’s comedy show “Who’s Laughing Now” and the Kansas City Royals’ Jumbotron.
Tickets for this event are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors, $10 for ONU faculty and staff, and $5 for children and students. The Freed Center box office is open Monday through Friday from noon to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Phone orders are accepted with American Express, MasterCard, VISA or Discover by calling 419-772-1900. Tickets also are available online at www.freedcenter.com.
