Yes, there's still time to form a team for Relay for Life of ONU
• 27 teams (so far)
• 183 participants (so far)
• $5,186 raised (so far)
Relay for Life of Ohio Northern University is gearing up for its annual relay held at the King Horn Sports Center on Sunday, March 23. Relay hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
This year’s goal is an ambitious $20,000, but sponsors of the event believe that goal can be raised.
According to Lauren Stahl, “The top three teams thus far in terms of fundraising are Colleges Against Cancer, Walk This Way, and Phi Mu Delta.”
Individuals and teams may still join the event by signing up at: relayforlife.org/onu.
Survivors of cancer are invited to a reception from noon to 1:15 p.m.
Survivors who sign up at relayforlife.org/onu, will receive a free tee-shirt and lunch. No commitment fee is required for survivors.
Stahl encourages community members to join the Relay, which is a community event.
Although it's located on campus, this is not a campus-only event, she stressed.
In addition to the seriousness of the Relay, there are lots of fun activities scheduled.
For example:
• Mr. and Ms. Relay Contest
• Relay Idol, Corn hole and Euchre tournament
• Relay Idol performances
• Scavenger hunt
