Delmer Brown, 1935-2014
Delmer F. Brown, 78, died on Monday, May 19, 2014 at 11:05 a.m. at Lima Memorial Health System, Lima.
He was born on August 26, 1935 in Prestonsburg, Kentucky, to Estel and Clara (Baldridge) Brown and they preceded him in death. He first married Shirley Rizer and they are divorced. He later married Pauline Daniels and she preceded him in death.
Delmer retired from Rockwell International of Kenton. He was a member of the Cornerstone Harvest Church, Lima.
Surviving are three sons: Sterling (Angie) Brown of Ada, Stuart Brown of Findlay and Derek (Ann) Brown of Alger; a daughter, Danielle Brown of Alger; six granddaughters: Erin Bagan, Abby (Josh) Lenhart, Misty Guyton, Amanda (Ken) Newland, Ashley Lawrence and Hannah Gunn; eleven great grandchildren; two brothers: Russell Brown of Ada and Doug (Joyce) Brown of Ada; two sisters: Darlene Casper and Jane (Don) Robinson both of Ada; a special friend, Judith Pinks of Ada.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Jason VanHoose; a brother, Robert Brown and a sister, Josephine Hackworth.
Funeral services will begin at 11 AM on Thursday, May 22 at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada, with Pastor David Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger.
Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 21 at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada, and until time of service on Thursday at the funeral home.
