Fresh vegetable workshop in Ada May 13; registration due May 9
Kathy Oliver, OSU Extension Educator, will teach a workshop titled Fresh Vegetables Preparation and Sampling at 7 p.m., Tuesday, May 13, at the Community Health Professionals, Ada, 1200 S. Main St.
Registration is due by Friday, May 9, at the Hardin County Extension Office. Call 419-674-2297 or e-mail [email protected]. There will be a $2.00 sampling fee at the door for those who are registered prior to the event.
Oliver said, "Are you planting a garden or container gardens this summer? Do you have a neighbor or family friend who will shower you with the season’s extras? If you want more fiber, nutrients and antioxidants in your diet—eat more vegetables! We know it’s tough to expand your vegetable appetite when you don’t know how to cook unfamiliar varieties."
