Gary Caudill was retired from Arvin Meritor of Kenton
Gary Lee Caudill, 60, died on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 5:11 p.m. at Lima Memorial Health System, Lima.
He was born on November 24, 1953 in Lima, Ohio to Frank and Waneta R. (Mayer)Caudill. His father preceded him in death and his mother survives in Harrod. He first married Sherri Lee Scott and she preceded him in death on October 18, 1975. On April 22, 1988 he married Melody S. Garl and she survives in Harrod.
Gary retired from Arvin Meritor of Kenton after working 30 years as a machinist and he was a farmer. He was a U.S. Army Veteran who served from November 1972 through December 1974. He attended the Ark of the Covenant Baptist Church of Lima.
Also surviving are three sons: Eric Caudill of Wapakoneta, Paul (Teresa) Caudill of Cridersivlle and T.J. Caudill of Wapakoneta; three daughters: Tonya (Bryan) Wireman of Waynesfield, Danielle (Wayne) Gullett of Harrod and Tiffany (Fiance' Jacob Wheeler)Caudill of Bellefontaine; six grandchildren: Brett Wireman, Tristen Caudill, TannerCaudill, Brandon Caudill, Ethan Gullett and Savannah Gullett; five brothers: Chris (Kris) Caudill of Port Jefferson, Greg Caudill of Waynesfield, Frank Caudill, Jr. of Harrod, KeithCaudill of Belle Center and Michael (Jill) Caudill of West Mansfield; two sisters: Penny Rowe of Kenton and Julie Tumeo of Delaware.
A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 16 at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger, with Pastor Bill Prater officiating. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger, with graveside military honors conducted by the Ada VFW Post #9381 Honor Guard. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15 at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger, and until time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Auglaize Free United Baptist Church of Maysville.
