Ohio Northern was selected to finish fourth in both the coaches and media polls at the 2014 Ohio Athletic Conference Football Media Day on Wednesday afternoon at the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

ONU received 225 points in the media poll and 52 points in the coaches poll to finish fourth in each.

Mount Union was tabbed as the preseason favorite by both the media and coaches, collecting 30 first place media votes and nine first place votes from the coaches.

John Carroll was chosen to finish second in both the media poll and the coaches poll collecting six first place votes from the media, while Heidelberg claimed the third place spot in both polls.

"We don't want to be satisfied with being picked fourth," Ohio Northern head coach Dean Paul said. "Every year you want to improve and move up in the conference."
