Here's an update from the Ada Kiwanis
The Ada Kiwanis Club met October 21 at McIntosh Center. President John Berg called the meeting to order and welcomed Julie Hosom, President, O.N.U. Circle K as a guest.
The Kiwanis anniversaries of Bryan Marshall (October 21, 1986) and Heather Cox (October 25, 2007) were noted. The wedding anniversary of Claudia Crawford and Matt Crawford (October 24, 1998) was also noted.
In business:
-Members heard an updated financial report from Treasurer Bryan Marshall.
-Jeff Schulman announced that the satellite club will meet tomorrow night at Community Health Professionals at 6:00 p.m.
-Julie Holsom updated members on O.N.U. Circle K. They met last night and discussed their current projects: Boo Pops, Trick or Treat for Cans, Trick or Treat for UNICEF, and they will be helping at the spaghetti dinner and the Halloween Parade.
-The club’s annual spaghetti dinner will be held Thursday night at the Ada High School Cafeteria. Serving will be from 4:30-7:00 p.m. Tickets are still available from club members. Tickets will also be available at the door.
-Halloween Parade chairman Joe Ferguson reported that the annual event will be held on Monday October 27th. The schedule as follows: 4:30 pm set-up at the Municipal building; 5:30n p.m. Registration; and 6 p.m. the parade starts. The club assembled the treats bags after the regular meeting.
-Kiwanis Key Club member to be elected as International President was Ted Osborn, who served in 1975-76 administrative year.
-Peter Previte was winner of the 50-50 drawing.

-October 27 Halloween parade (Joe Ferguson)
-October 28 Brief business meeting Restore Crockpot Tuesday
-November 4 business & board meeting no program
-November 10 Red Cross Blood Drive, 11:30-5:30 (Kiwanis responsible for refreshments & coverage)
-November 11 brief business – program (David MacDonald) (ONU veterans recognition 11:00)
-November 18 no business or program – service activity (Brian Myers)
-November 25 brief business – program (Amanda Bennett)
The Ada Kiwanis meets at noon each Tuesday in McIntosh Center, ONU. Guests are always welcome.
