Marching Bulldogs set high standards for this year's band competitions
The Ada Marching Band traveled to Richfield on Sept. 27 for the Revere High School Marching Band Competition and came away big winners.
Ada took first place in Class C and were awarded Best Percussion and Best Auxiliary (color guard) in Class C, as well.
In addition to these awards, the Marching Bulldogs also received awards for Best General Effect and Best Visual Effect in Class B and C combined. Class B is comprised of schools larger than Ada.
The Bulldogs were the first band to compete at the competition and set the bar very high for the rest of the performances that evening. This year's show, titled Apocalypse, features a vocal and guitar solo by Chanler Hughart, flute and piccolo solos by Caralee Stover, Terra Hunter and Libbie Milks and trombone solo by Meredith Marshall.
The Marching Bulldogs will next perform at Friday night's football game in Paulding, and will compete at Loveland High School on Saturday, Oct. 4.
