Denny Hughes, 1934-2014
Dennis G. “Denny” Hughes, 80, died on Sunday, Nov. 23, 2014, at 2:10 a.m. at Kenton Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Kenton, Ohio.
He was born on March 15, 1934, in Alger, Ohio to Rush and Ruth (Gossard) Hughes and they preceded him in death. On June 30, 1957 he married Golda (Keith) Hughes and she died on Feb. 28, 2010.
Denny was a co-owner of Pizza Planet in Bellefontaine for over 50 years with his brother Don.
He is survived by two daughters: Yvonne (Chuck) Dixon of Kenton and Sara (John) Pease of Cincinnati; five grandchildren: David (Kristin) Dixon, Mike Dixon, Nicki (Tom) Donaldson, Luke Pease and Joel Pease; two brothers: Conrad (Ronda) Hughes of Kenton and Don (Connie) Hughes of Bellefontaine; a sister, Betty Jo Carmean of Lima.
Memorial services will begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2014 at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger with Rev. Calvin Waugh officiating.
Friends may call on Tuesday, Nov. 25, from 5 to p.m. at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association/Stroke Association.
