Jerry Spradin was a 1969 Upper Scioto Valley grad
Jerry Spradlin, 63, died Thursday, Nov. 27, 2014, at 10:49 a.m. at Mary Rutan Hospital, Bellefontaine, Ohio.
He was born on June 13, 1951, in Kenton, Ohio to William James and Ruth (Merritt) Spradlin who preceded him in death. On Oct.17, 1969 he married Ronda S. Combs and she survives in Lakeview.
He retired in 2006 after 20 years as an electrician from Airstream. He was a member of the Gospel group, Foot Prints. He was a 1969 graduate of Upper Scioto Valley High School.
Also surviving are a son, Jamie Spradlin of Kenton; 3 daughters, Jackie (Lowell) Morris of Bellefontaine, April Spradlin of Celina, and Staff Sergeant Ashley (Staff Sergeant Jonathan) Schnaible of Roy, Utah; 4 grandchildren, Steven Scarborough, Nick Scarborough, Anastasia Schnaible, and Carson Schnaible; and 2 brothers, Jerald Spradlin of Kenton, and Perry Spradlin of Lima.
He was preceded in death by a brother, William Dean Spradlin, and a sister, Betty Jean Styer.
A memorial service will begin at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 2, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger with Rev. Tim Benjamin officiating.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service, from 6 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 2, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association. Arrangements are by Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger.
