Freshman Kirsten Lightel named OAC Softball Pitcher of the Week

Ohio Northern freshman Kirsten Lightel was named Ohio Athletic Conference Softball pitcher of the week for the time period ending March 9.
Lightel is 5-1 this season from the mound, with 45 strike outs, 38.2 innings pitched, and a 0.91 ERA.
She recorded a game-high 12 strike outs in the Polar Bears 5-1 win over Potsdam St. (N.Y.).
Ohio Northern is next in action Saturday March 21 as they host OAC opponent Heidelberg.
