Made to Move Tumbling and HEAT Cheer hold March 7 exhibition

The Hardin County Family YMCA announced that the Made To Move Tumbling and Hardin County HEAT Cheer will host a tumbling and cheer exhibition from 6:30-7:30 p.m., Saturday, March 7.

Admission is a free will donation (suggested donation is $3 per person). There will be prize raffles, 50/50 raffle, and a silent auction.  All monies raised will help with hotel costs for the Hardin HEAT Cheerleaders who will attend the U.S. Finals National Competition in Indianapolis  on April 10-12. 

Raffle tickets are $1 a piece and can be purchased from any Hardin HEAT member or coach.

"We would like to thank the local businesses and individuals for their donations of raffle prizes and money to help with travel costs," the coaches told The Icon.

Made to Move Tumblers are ages 3-18. The Hardin County HEAT Junior Level 1 Blaze and Junior Level 2 Ignite Squads have members from Ada, Hardin Northern, Kenton, Ridgemont, and Riverdale and are ages 6-15. 

The Hardin County Family YMCA is the only gym in Hardin County with USASF Certified Coaches and the USASF membership. Coaches are certified by the USASF in Levels 1-4 tumbling and Levels 1-3 stunting.

The Made to Move Tumbling classes meet monthly year round. Enrollment is rolling.  Students may join any time.  Hardin County HEAT Cheer has clinics and tryouts in May.  Please contact a coach for more information.

The Hardin HEAT Cheerleading Squads have competed since December at competitions around the state and received the following awards:
• Dec. 7 COA-Wright State Cup: Level 1 Blaze First Place, Level 2 Ignite Second Place
• Jan. 17 MKJ Scholarship Competition - Riverdale High School Level 1
Ignite First Place, Level 2 Ignite First Place and All-Star High Point Winner;
• Jan. 24 GLCC - Battle at the Lake, Akron: Level 1 Blaze First Place and National Champions, Level 2 Ignite First Place, National Champions, and Blaring Energy Award;
• Jan. 25 Akron Children's Cheer Classic: Level 1 Blaze First Place, Level 2 Ignite First Place and Grand Champions
• Feb 7 JAMfest, Dayton:  Level 1 Blaze Fourth Place, Level 2 Ignite First Place, L2 Grand Champions, and Full PAID BID to US FINALS
