Thanks for Dr. Waters, Ada Cubs play a gig on the steel drums
Ada Cub Scouts recently had an musical experience to remember.
The Scouts were introduced to steel drums by Dr. Sarah Waters, who teaches applied percussion, steel drum band, percussion ensemble, conducting, African and American Music at Ohio Northern University.
Dr. Waters described the steel drums to Ada Cub Scouts (from left) Alex Rockhill, Tristen Dalton, Dylan Hartman, Connor Daugherty, Robby Waters, Xander Wells and Roman Snyder.
Her own steel drum experience includes being a member of the “All-Star Steel Drum Band,” which performed at PASIC in Austin, Texas.
She is the director of the Ohio Northern Summer Music Camp for students in grades 7-12.
