Ada HS artists have excellent showing in Kewpee Show
Shelby Vanatta won Best of Show at the 27th annual Kewpee High School Art Invitational. Five other Ada school students took home awards from the show which was held at ArtSpace/Lima. Shelby’s sculpture is titled Traveling Toddlers. She is a junior and the daughter of Mitchell Vanatta and Darla Crownhart.

Her sculpture was judged the best of 104 pieces entered by students from 21 high schools. The exhibition included works in various categories, including sculpture, photography, painting, digital media, printmaking, mixed media, sculpture, jewelry, and drawing.
Other Ada students in the show were Liz Selover, Jake Taylor, Kaylee Spangler, Alexandra Boyadzhiev and Allison Howard.
The Kewpee Exhibit is sponsored by Kewpee Restaurants of Lima. Gary Wells is the Ada HS art teacher.
