Ada's Farmers' Market returns in June - this time to the Depot parking lot
By Monty Siekerman
Yes, the Farmers Market will return to Ada this summer, but in a new location.
The market will operate from the Railroad Depot parking lot from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursdays beginning June 4.
There was a question about its operating this year due to new restrictions, regulations and requirements demanded by the Ohio Department of Agriculture, which now oversees farmers markets.
Those issues have now been resolved thanks to the assistance of ReStore personnel.
Now local citizens can once again avail themselves of farm-fresh produce, baked goods, honey and jams, garden plants, cut flowers, and perhaps some good eating from a sandwich truck.
Ada's farmers market has always struggled to get vendors and buyers compared to nearby towns, such as Bluffton. Maybe this year will be different with plenty of sellers and buyers.
