The Hardin County Pullers event proved popular with spectators...all 4,000 of them.

The 7th annual event held Friday evening at War Memorial Park drew competitors in five categories. The day dawned rainy, but the pulling contest went on as scheduled as the skies cleared for a nice evening by the time the exciting and noisy event began.

Spectators watch a pulling contest from the tailgates of pickups as well as from the stands lining both sides of the competition area.
