James Ludwig was a 1966 Ada High School grad
James M. Ludwig, 66 died on Thursday, April 30, 2015, at 10:05 a.m. at the Ross Heart Hospital at the Ohio State Medical Center, Columbus.
He was born on July 5, 1948 in Allen County, Ohio to Everett F. and Helen A. (Spar) Ludwig and they preceded him in death.
James worked as a carpenter and farmer. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran who served from December 5, 1967 to September 3, 1971. James was a member of the Indian Lake Moose Lodge #1533 and a life member of the Ada VFW Post #9381. He was a 1966 graduate of Ada High School.
He is survived by a brother, Gary (Charolette) Ludwig and a sister, Jacque Sperling both of Ada; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Robert Sperling.
Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 4, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada with Pastor Thomas Dearth officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada with graveside military rites conducted by the Ada VFW Post #9381 Honor Guard.
Friends may call from 2:00 – 6:00 PM on Sunday, May 3, 2015 at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Monday.
Memorial contributions may be made to Helen Ludwig Scholarship Fund at Ohio Northern University at 525 South Main Street, Ada, Ohio 45810.
