Luana Penn 1933-2015
Luana Penn, 81, died on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at 2:40 a.m.at her residence in Mt. Vernon, Ohio.
She was born on July 14, 1933 in Hardin County, Ohio to William T. and Ella Marie (Sheldon) Lamb, and they preceded her in death. Luana first married Kenneth L. Longbrake and he is deceased. She later married Carl Penn and he is deceased.
Luana previously worked as a waitress and was a longtime member of the Indian Lake Eagles Post #3615. She was a member of the Victory Chapel of Praise, Roundhead.
Surviving are two daughters: Naleta (Harvey) Whitt of Mt. Vernon and Bonnie (Jarv) Bailey of Ridgeway; two step children: Kelly (Joe) Tracey and Steve Blackburn both of Zanesfield; five grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren; a brother, Bill (Joyce) Lamb of Dunkirk.
She was preceded in death by a son, William “Bill” Longbrake on September 28, 2006; a grandson, John K. Bailey; three infant brothers; four sisters: Wilma Clark, Rose Allen, Dorothy Fry and an infant sister.
Funeral services will begin at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, May 4, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger with Rev. Dave Schneer officiating. Burial will be in McDonald-Fairview Cemetery, Kenton.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service Monday, May 4, 2015 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger.
Memorial contributions may be made to Charity of the Donor’s Choice.
