Several Ada HS actors receive Take a Bow Awards
Ada High School’s cast and crew of Oklahoma! were recognized May 12 at the 6th Annual TAB (Take a Bow) awards at Riverdale High School Auditorium.
The Hardin County Players recognizes local theater in several captions. The cast and crew of Oklahoma! were nominated in the following categories:
Outstanding Male Lead Performance: Jacob Dungan (Curly McClain)
Outstanding Female Lead Performance: Molly Gamble (Laurey Williams)
Best Male Solo: Max Whitten (Jud Fry)
Best Female Solo: Sydney Hartford (Ado Annie Carnes)
Best Male Comic Performance: Ace Gamble (Andrew Carnes) and Drayson Gamble (Ali Hakim)
Best Female Comic Performance: Sydney Hartford (Ado Annie Carnes)
Best Group Comic Performance: “It’s a Scandal, It’s A Outrage”
Outstanding Female Supporting Performance: Sydney Hartford (Ado Annie Carnes)
Outstanding Male Supporting Performance: Evan Smittle (Will Parker)
Best Junior Performer: Alex Morgan
Best Ensemble: “Oklahoma!”
Best Duet: “Poor Jud is Daid” – Jacob Dungan and Max Whitten
Best Choreography: “The Farmer and the Cowman”

Sophomore Evan Smittle won Outstanding Male Supporting Performance for the role of Will Parker. His on stage love interest, junior, Sydney Hartford won Outstanding Female Supporing Performance for Ado Annie Carnes.
Junior Max Whitten took home two wins as Jud Fry, for Best Male Solo and Best duet, alongside freshman Jacob Dungan as Curly McClain.
