William Scott was a 1969 USV graduate
William W. “Bill” Scott, Jr., 65, died on Friday, May 15, 2015, at 3:05 p.m. at his son’s residence in Tiffin, Ohio.
He was born on Sept. 26, 1949 in Lima, Ohio to William W. and Mary C. (Orders) Scott, Sr. and they preceded him in death. He was previously married to Ella Faye (Mullins) Loubert, and she survives in Tiffin, Ohio.
He was a lifelong farmer. He retired from the maintenance department of the Waffle House Restaurants after 22 years. He was a 1969 graduate of Upper Scioto High School.
He is survived by two sons, Tod (Brittney) Scott of Tiffin, and Jack Walter Scott of Marion; a daughter, Krystal (Jeff) Riley of Tiffin; 13 grandchildren: Kolton James Riley, Bradon Scott, William Heilman, Tara Cassidy, Amber (Cory) Castle, Katelyn Scott, Meranda Scott, Ryan Scott, Haley Martin, Hannah Porter, Jacob King, Justice King, and Jeremiah King; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers: Richard W. “Dick” Scott of Ada and Thomas L. (Lesa) Scott of Alger; three sisters: Joyce M. Reiff of Crestview, FL, Sandra S. McKinley of McGuffey, and Kaylene F. (Rick) Ward-Best of Alger.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher Knox; a daughter-in-law, Debbie Knox Scott; three brothers-in-law, Eddy Reiff, John McKinley, and Larry Ward; and one sister-in-law, Susan Scott.
Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20, at the Alger Assembly of God Church, 7050 State Route 235, Alger, Ohio 45812.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, at the Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger, and one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Alger Assembly of God Church.
