Hardin Hootenannies hear Sun Safety report, plan upcoming meetings

By Riley Fleece

The Hardin County Hootenannies met at  Miranda Holbrook's place.  President Isaac Davis opened  and asked Riley Fleece to lead the 4-H Pledge after Seth Davis was to begin the American Pledge.  Secretary Miranda Holbrook took roll call with members telling their favorite time of the year. There were seven members present.

The Club decided on their T-Shirts, they will be Baby Blue with pink lettering. Each member will get one through the club and if parents want one, they can order one at $8 or if anyone wants a sweatshirt they are $20. There are still some members that owe for their project books @ $6.  Everyone was reminded that Quality Assurance is on June 24th from 6:30-8 p.m.at the Fairground's Community Building.

Miranda gave her health and safety report on Sun Safety which shared very interesting tidbits.  After the meeting, refreshments were provided by our host. Recreation leader Levi Beiler had us play 4-H Bingo since it was raining and we couldn't play wiffle ball.

The next 4-H Meeting will be held on Sun June 14th at Grant Mizek's farm at 2:00 PM.  There the club will have a Fish Fry.  Advisor Grant Mizek will provide the fish and potato wedges and  Levi Beiler will bring drinks. Everyone else is to bring a covered dish.
Riley Fleece will have the health/safety report on that day.  We will have a fun fishing derby of our own at Grant's pond to prepare for the all Hardin Co 4-H fishing derby on the 16th.
