The Ohio Northern University Department of Art and Design will hold its sixth annual Artists Against Hunger luncheon in the Wilson Art Center on Saturday, Nov. 14, at 11 a.m.

The Artists Against Hunger luncheon offers the community an opportunity to give back in exchange for a lunch and a handcrafted ceramic bowl made by faculty, alumni and students from Ohio Northern University. The bowls will be filled with one of a variety of soups, including minestrone, chicken noodle, butternut squash and chili.

The Ohio Northern University Freed Center for the Performing Arts presents The Kingsmen Quartet on Saturday, Nov. 7, at 7:30 p.m.

Ada's next American Red Cross blood drive is from1 to 5 p.m., Monday, Nov. 9, at Community Health Professionals.

Thursday was Halloween in Ada, but these are not Halloween photos.

Crazy socks are the fashion rage. Mismatched, weird, colorful socks were seen entering the school.

In the story on top of the home page we've provided photos of sock models (in a mixed up order): Hannah Weatherly, Barrette Jones, Braelynn Weatherly, Ashley Mattson, Lydia Demascio and Jude Griffin.

Thursday was Halloween in Ada, but these are not Halloween photos.

Last week, Ada students  wore crazy socks to school - as these photos show - in support of Red Ribbon Week, sponsored by the Beta Club. The effort is an update on Nancy Reagan's "Just say no to drugs."
