Bridge Hospice will host their annual Light Up a Life tree-lighting ceremonies on the following dates this December:
• The Findlay ceremony will take place on Tuesday, December 5 at 5:30 p.m. at Birchaven Village in The Chapel, 15100 Birchaven Lane, Findlay.
• The Bowling Green ceremony will take place on Monday, December 11 at 5:30 p.m. at Heritage Corner in the Georgian Room, 1069 Klotz Road, Bowling Green. Light Up a Life is an event that honors loved ones and family members, both living and deceased, during the holiday season. The public is invited to attend.

Earlier this week, the ReStore Community Center will begin giving away new coats donated by the Knights of Columbus in Kenton.
New hats, mittens, gloves, and boots, donated by the Ada First United Methodist Church and the Hardin County Foundation, will also be given away to those in need.

SCAM ALERT! The Sheriff's Office has been made aware of a scam where an individual receives a call stating that becasue of the person's good character and being a model citizen that Walmart, Apple and an out of state bank have partnered to provide the person with a cash award. The award is claimed by the person purchasing Apple gift cards at Walmart, then calling a specified phone number where the gift card IDs are provided to the "program representative"; afterwards, the cash value of the card(s) will supposedly be sent to the person being scammed. Celebrate the Christmas season with the Ohio Northern University Singers and Chamber Singers, directed by Christopher Larsen, director of choral activities, as they present their holiday concert “The Joyous Day” at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 3 at Ada First United Methodist Church. The event is free and open to the public.
Audience members can sing carols of the season, contemplate on the story of the birth of Jesus Christ, and listen to the musical offerings by the talented choral musicians of Ohio Northern University.
