RAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Junior Pete He (Mason) and sophomore Nolan Huey (Fort Collins, Colo./Fossil Ridge) each earned second place finishes to lead the Ohio Northern men's swimming & diving team at the Calvin (Mich.) Invitational Friday and Saturday at the Venema Aquatic Center.
He had a pair of second place finishes and added a fourth place finish for the Polar Bears.
He was second in the 50 free in :21.79, was second in the 200 fly in 2:00.40 and was fourth in the 100 fly in :52.91.
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The Ohio Northern women's swimming & diving team won four events at the Calvin (Mich.) Invitational Friday and Saturday at the Venema Aquatic Center.
Sophomore Lauren Halle (Chandler, Ariz./Hamilton) and freshman Marissa Taylor (Granite Falls, N.C./South Caldwell) swept the 200 and 400 I.M. races to lead the Polar Bears.
Halle won the 400 I.M. in 4:48.74 with Taylor right behind in second place in 4:53.40.
The pair switched place for a 1-2 finish in the 200 I.M. with Taylor winning in 2:15.21 and Halle second in 2:15.65.
WESTERVILLE — The No. 18-ranked Ohio Northern volleyball team fell 25-17, 25-18, 25-17 to Otterbein on Saturday afternoon during the Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament Championship match in Westerville.
The No. 2-seeded Polar Bears fall to 27-5 overall, while the No. 1-seeded Cardinals move to 29-3.
Sophomore McKenna Jordan (Toledo/St. Ursula) led the Polar Bears with a team-high 11 kills, while freshman Katie Wade (Battle Creek, Mich./Harper Creek) had a team-best 22 assists, and sophomore Kristin Langston (Versailles) led the team with 10 digs.
