The Ohio Northern University Mobile Health Clinic will offer health screenings free of charge at the Forest, food pantry from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 28, at the Forest United Methodist Church, 111 E. Dixon St., Forest.
The 38-foot bus is in its first season of operation by the College of Pharmacy’s ONU HealthWise outreach efforts.
ONU HealthWise has provided health outreach services in Hardin County since 2015, when the College of Pharmacy received a Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) grant. Thanks to recent support from CVS and Mercy Health in Lima, the mobile clinic has an official set of wheels.
Meet Duke. Duke is 6 year old, male Shih Tzu mix. He weighs 21 pounds. Can you provide Duke with his forever home?
To give a dog a forever home, contact the Hardin County dog shelter. It is located at 49 Jones Road on the west side of Kenton.
Hours: 9 am to 4 pm on Monday, Thursday, and Friday. Phone: 419-674-2209.
Generally, about 20 to 25 dogs are available for viewing.
The shelter is also the place to contact for giving up a dog, if you find a lost or stray dog, or if you come in contact with a vicious dog. It costs $20 to surrender a dog, which pays for deworming and immunizations for when it is rescued.
