Chase Sumner named most outstanding wrestler

RAWSON - The Ada wrestling team opened its 2016-17 season by posting a solid 4-1 record to finish second at the six-team Cory-Rawson Duals Saturday.

Ada junior standout Chase Sumner was named Most Outstanding Wrestler of the tournament. He went 5-0 at the 138 lb. weight class.

Bulldog freshman Damien Cameron also was a perfect 5-0 at 106 and 113 lbs., while sophomore Noah Mattson went 4-1 at 285 lbs.

Ada crushed Lima Senior 60-18; defeated Columbus Grove 54-15; edged Cory-Rawson 32-31; and stomped Liberty-Benton 60-12.

Archbold, which went 5-0 at the event, handed the Bulldogs their only loss by a 58-18 count.

RIDGEWAY - The Ada boys basketball team tipped off the Dre White era successfully with a 51-45 victory at non-league county rival Ridgemont Friday night in the season opener.

The Bulldogs broke away from a 22-18 halftime lead with a 13-4 run to start the second half, then held off a late Golden Gopher rally to win the first game of new coach White's tenure.

Senior wing Jordan Bailey came off the bench to lead Ada with 13 points and nine rebounds. Senior post Owen Conley contributed 11 points and nine caroms. Senior guard Seth Evans added nine points.

Ada school board will hold a special meeting in executive session at 5:45 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 7.

The purpose of the meeting is for the purpose of employmnent and compensation of public employees.

Allowing persons with disabilities to live the same lives as others

What do we mean by social inclusion?

The term, while appearing frequently over the last few years, has yet to be well defined. Although attempts have been made to define social inclusion in ways that can be measured, most efforts have fallen short primarily because of the highly personal, individualized nature of it.
