The Pawsitive Attitudes 4-H club held their June meeting at the Alger Public Library. The meeting was called to order at 6:12 p.m. with co-advisor, Lydia Osborne, five members and two guests present.
Secretary, Ruth Anne Osborne, called the role with each member naming their favorite TV show. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Jonathan Osborne. The 4-H pledge was led by Reporter, Abigail Osborne.
President, Catherine Osborne, gave members an opportunity to present their ideas for the theme of the club booth at the Hardin County Fair this year. Greatly favored was a military theme possibly including a revolving tank, trenches, a slogan such as “Don’t Let Your Project Tank” and chickens touting small helmets and pop guns.
Presentations were presented by Catherine Osborne on Dog Bite Prevention, Abigail Osborne on Dentition, Jonathan Osborne on How to Remove a Tick Successfully and Ruth Anne Osborne on the History of Working Dogs.
Katherine and Allison Moore agreed to do their presentations at the next meeting.
Marshall Benson will present his poster at the next meeting and also provide refreshments for the group.
Meeting was adjourned at 7:06 p.m. The next meeting will be July 7th at 6:00 pm. Special thanks to the Alger Public Library for their wonderful hospitality!
