Danny Hollon was a 1974 USV graduate
Danny L. Hollon, 59, died on Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at 4:18 a.m. at the Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus.
He was born on July 9, 1956, in Hardin County, Ohio, to Noah G. and Anna Belle (Hall) Hollon who preceded him in death. On July 21, 1974, he married Rhonda R. Waddle and she survives in Belle Center.
He retired from the State of Ohio Department of Corrections after working for 22 years, where he worked as a corrections officer at the Allen County Corrections Facility in Lima.
He attended the Wapakoneta Community Worship Center. Danny was a 1974 graduate of Upper Scioto Valley High School.
Also surviving are two sons: Matthew (Heather) Hollon of Jackson Center and Timothy Hollon of Belle Center; two grandsons: Aiden and Ethan Hollon; a brother, Larry (Coleen) Hollon of Alger; and a sister, Lisa (Richard) Allen of Alger; mother-in-law, Lorrene Waddle of Roundhead; and a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Lorinda (David) Sparks of Belle Center.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Hollon.
Funeral services will begin at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, July 31, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger with Pastor Dan Holbrook officiating. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 30, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger and from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Friday prior to the service at the funeral home.
