In 157 years most of the early farms in Liberty Township have changed owners. A few, however, have been passed down through the generations, and descendants of some of the early settlers still grow crops on the land their ancestors cleared. One of these farms is owned by Bob and Anna Mary Shanks on County Road 65. At some time in their lives, seven generations of the Shanks family have called this home.

Watch for more traffic through Main Street Ada the week of April 22.
State Route 81 just east of State Route 235, within the village of Ada, will close Monday, April 22, for approximately one week for a water line repair project, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation.
Local drivers will create their own detour paths around State Route 81 on the east side of Ada.
Check the map below - Meanwhile, ODOT's official detour route brings traffic through Main Street (SR 235) then to SR 309-701 on to US 68 and back to SR 81. Work is being performed by the Village of Ada.
Next time you are in the showcase area of Ada schools look closely at the Bulldog memorabilia. Tucked into the display is this Ada Bulldog sign created to connect to the license plate on your vehicle. This was in the era before bumperstickers existed.

That was part of the reason he chose Ohio Northern – it really was home. That said, being involved in the production of a Super Bowl commercial wasn’t something he ever expected to happen to him, let alone through his Ada and Ohio Northern connections.
Through his family’s business, Everhart Trucking LLC, Aaron was presented with the opportunity to operate a truck used in the filming of a CBS Super Bowl pregame commercial filmed just down the road from ONU’s campus at the Wilson Football Factory.
The word is out - caterpillars are hanging around inside the Ada Public Library. The library staff apparently doesn't mind. In fact, they encourage patrons to stop in and say "hello.'

OTTAWA - The Ada tennis team lost 4-1 at undefeated Ottawa-Glandorf in a makeup match Thursday.
Ada fell to 7-3 with the defeat while O-G ran its perfect record to 7-0. The Bulldogs are now 4-1 vs. WBL teams this spring.
Bulldog senior Cade Mullins posted the lone Bulldog win at first singles in straight sets to improve to 8-1 this spring.
"Today was a tough loss for us," said head coach Cody Hurley. "For the first time this season we just weren't able to produce our best tennis on all five courts. It was unfortunate that it came against such a great opponent, but sometimes that happens.
