Ada Kiwanis will install new officers Sept. 22
The Ada Kiwanis Club met on Tuesday August 11th in the Dean’s Heritage Room, McIntosh Center, Ohio Northern University, and Ada.
In business:
-Members heard an updated financial report from Treasurer Bryan Marshall.
-Secretary Bill Fuller reported that Kiwanis international had informed the club of an increase in dues and fees beginning with the 2015-2016 administrative year.
-A discussion was held concerning funding for the Hardin County Fair 4-H livestock auction.
-The club agreed to replace a tree in War Memorial Park dedicated in memory of Everett Ludwig.
-Jeff Schulman reported that the satellite club will meet tomorrow evening at 6:00 p.m. at the Community Health Professionals to plan next week’s social night. It will be held on Wednesday August 26th at 6:00 p.m. Members are asked to bring a covered dish to share. The satellite club will provide the meat dish. This will replace the regular Tuesday meeting.
-Schulman also noted that the annual Installation of Officers meeting will be held on Tuesday September 22nd at 6:00 p.m. at The Wishing Well, McIntosh Center, Ohio Northern University. Lt. Governor-Elect Denny Elwer, from the Delphos Kiwanis Club will be in the installing officer. The cost of the meal will be $10.00 and a sign-up sheet will be circulated at next week’s meeting.
