Rolla Stratton was retired from Ford Motor Co.
Rolla M. Stratton, Sr., 87, died on Monday, Sept. 7, 2015, at 1:10 a.m. at Lima Memorial Health System, Lima, Ohio.
He was born on July 22, 1928, in Hardin County Ohio to Samuel and Leona (Spees) Stratton who preceded him in death. On May 22, 1954, he married Jean Ann Amstutz and she survives in Ada.
Rolla retired in 1992 from the Ford Motor Company after 33 years where he worked as a millwright. He served in the U.S. Navy during the end of WWII. Rolla attended the Alger Assembly of God Church.
Surviving are two sons: Rolla (Kathy E.) Stratton, Jr. of LaFayette, Ohio and Ricky (Mona) Stratton of Mt. Cory, Ohio; and three daughters: Lillie (Daniel) Brewer of Kentucky, Kathy L. Stratton of Ada, Ohio and Sharon Colburn of Findlay, Ohio; 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren
He was preceded in death by a son: Robert Stratton; a great grandson, Logan, a brother: John Stratton; and a sister: Alice Stratton.
A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 10, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada with Rev. John Amstutz officiating.
Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger, Ohio with graveside military services conducted by the Ada VFW Post #9381 Honor Guard.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 9, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada and until the time of service on Thursday.
