UPDATE: The association is experiencing a glitch with the registration system on January 1 and expects it to be fixed on Tuesday when businesses open.

The Ada, Ohio Youth Soccer Association has announced important dates for Spring 2024 youth soccer:
January 1-31: Regular registration

Wilbur D. Willeke, age 93, of Ada, passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Vancrest of Ada.  

He was born on November 7, 1930 in Dunkirk, Ohio to the late Glenn and Hester (Wilcox) Willeke. On August 24, 1952 Wilbur married Wilma A. Boecher and she survives in Ada.

WAYNESFIELD__Waynesfield-Goshen rode a hot-shooting second period to a convincing 69-55 victory over the youthful Ada High School boys basketball team Thursday, December 28, in the nightcap of a girls-boys doubleheader.

WAYNESFIELD__The visiting Ada High School girls basketball team battled but came up just short at Waynesfield-Goshen 48-45 in a nailbiter that went down to the last second Thursday night, December 28.

Ada senior guard Olivia Burkhart poured in a career-high 28 points to keep the Bulldog girls close. Her last-second halfcourt heave could have forced overtime, but it narrowly missed to preserve the Waynesfield win.

The Lady Bulldogs dropped to 4-6 with the non-conference defeat. 

The Tiger girls improved to 3-4 after the hard-fought victory.
