You know the drill. The Ada Halloween parade, sponsored by Ada Kiwanis is calling you.
This year’s parade is Monday, Oct. 26. Registration starts at 5:30 p.m. The parade is a 6 p.m. Registration takes place behind the municipal building on Buckeye Street.
Here’s the costume categories:
• Prettiest
• Scariest
• Most original
Costume judging is by the following age groups:
• Preschool and Kindergarten
• 1st and 2nd grades
• 3rd and 4th grades
• 5th and 6th grades
• Groups – any age and pets
• Adults (most original only)
• Ada band
Pizza cook-off
Also planned during the judging is the first-ever Buy Ada First pizza cook-off at the Ada Depot, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m., Monday, Oct. 26, at the Ada Depot. The pizza cook-off will be in conjunction with the Ada Kiwanis annual Halloween parade.
Local restaurants will enter pizza of their choice and residents are welcome to taste the pizza and vote on their favorite. The local restaurant with the most votes will win the 2015 Pizza Cook-off People’s Favorite Choice Award. The winner will be announced around 7:30 p.m.
The Ada Area Chamber of Commerce will host a Tortilla Pride contest and a pumpkin hunt from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at the Ada Depot. Visit and shop at local businesses for their spooktacular sales.
