And, who ordered 14.7 inches of snow?

February came in like a lion, remaining that in that animal form for three weeks.

And, without warning, a lamb took its place on the 22nd and has yet to leave.

According to Guy Verhoff, Pandora weather observer, the 28-day month began with a low of 8 degrees on Feb. 3 and ended with a high of 61 degrees on Feb. 28, a welcome 53-degree improvement.

Yet, during a 21-day stretch from Feb. 1 to 21, the temperature topped above freezing only twice, on the 4th and 21st.

Nomadland (W.W.North, ISBN978-0-393-24931-6) has all that a non-fiction book should have: the what, the who, the when, and most importantly, the why. It is a handbook on “Surviving America In The Twenty-First Century” as it states in its sub-title.

Ada High School grad and University of Findlay student, Eli Garmon,  has work displayed in a senior art exhibition at the University of Findlay.

The artwork will be on display through March 18 in the Dudley and Mary Marks Lea Gallery, located in the Virginia B. Gardner Fine Arts Pavilion.

Garmon is pursuing a degree in graphic design and theatre performance.

While students, faculty, staff, and community members are welcome to view the exhibitions from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., daily in the Lea Gallery, the University invites guests to view the artwork virtually on the Lea Gallery's website at https://leagallery.findlay.edu/.

Varsity Singers' performance, PaintINN and more

It appears that March is coming in like a lamb, and that’s the way we like it.

At the same time, Ada events are starting up appear after a very, very long winter’s nap.

Here’s Ada’s Hometown Happenings, compiled by Darlene Bowers for the Ada Icon.

You’ll discover many events planned at Ada schools including a Varsity Singers’ performance and National Honor Society inductions.

Klondike’s birthday is March 16 at Ohio Northern University as are several prospective student events that bring people to Ada.

The Inn at ONU offers a March PaintInn plus Thursday-Saturday Dinner Club. And, ugh, there's a time change in a direction that no fun on March 14.
