Ada police discover possible meth lab
Drug charges may be facing an Ada man arrested on Nov. 21 for domestic violence.
According to reports from other area media, Ada Police responded to a complaint at 415 N. Main St., Ada, of domestic violence at about 11:15 a.m. on Saturday.
During the police investigation the Icon understands that officers were advised of an unknown substance being produced by a man in the apartment.
The man was identified as Rodrick Stevens, 31, formerly of Florida, who is now living in Ada.
Officers discovered items consistent with the manufacture of methamphetamines and quickly secured the home, a news release from the Ada Police Department reported.
The Ada Liberty Fire Department was called to standby as officers contacted the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation for its assistance in processing the scene and testing the unknown substances.
According to media reports, substances recovered at the scene were sent to the BCI Lab in Bowling Green for further testing.
Stevens was charged with domestic violence and jailed Saturday afternoon.
