ReStore's holiday calendar full of activities
The holiday season is a busy one for ReStore Community Center.
Events include:
• Thanksgiving
Tuesday, Nov. 24, 4-6 p.m.
Community meal. No reservations necessary.
• Kid’s Christmas Day
Friday, Dec. 4, 5-8 p.m.
Children can meet with Santa and choose gifts for their families. ReStore volunteers wrap the gifts and make them ready to be placed under the tree.
•Bake sale
Saturday, Dec. 5, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Cookies, cakes, muffins and more. ReStore welcomes contributors to bring baked goods for the sale.
• Gift basket raffle
Drawing Dec. 15
Purchase a raffle ticket for a chance at a holiday gift. The basket includes a night at The Inn at ONU, $100 Freed Center tickets and a $20 gift card for Olive Garden. Tickets on sale at ReStore.
• Fruit Baskets
Monday, Dec. 21, 11 a.m.
Seasonal fruit baskets for senior citizens will be assembled at the First United Methodist Church and distributed throughout the community. Volunteers welcome.
ReStore will be closed Nov. 25-27 and from Dec. 17 to Jan. 3. It will reopen at 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 5, for the first crock pot of the year.
