St. Rita's breaks ground for $1 million Mercy Health Ada Family Medicine office
Construction will start immediately – but first comes the groundbreaking.
St. Rita’s Health Partners broke ground at noon on Monday at 604 W. North Ave., for what will become Mercy Health Ada Family Medicine.
The project, estimated at a cost of $1 million, will result in a family practice open to the needs of the Ada community. It is located between the Ada schools and the Van Crest of Ada nursing home, currently under construction. It is anticipated to be open in April 2016.
According to Randy Buss of St. Rita’s business development and marketing department, the Ada facility will be approximately 6,000 square feet on a two-acre site. It will house a radiology staff, offer laboratory services, and will provide a physician, nurse practitioner and clinical staff.
The center will be built for three physicians, and will open with one. Recruitment for that physician is underway.
Ada’s office is 10th family practice in the St. Rita’s system separate from its Lima location.
Miller Contracting Group, Ottoville, is the general contractor of the project.
