Marie Wright was previously a cook at ONU
Marie O. (Nichols) Wright, 82, died on Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015 at 7:37 a.m. at Hardin Hills Health Center, Kenton.
She was born on March 13, 1933, in Hardin County, Ohio, to Dean and Easter (Ison) Irwin who preceded her in death. Marie was previously married to Willie Nichols on Dec. 7, 1954 and he died April 15, 1982. She later married Claud Wright on April 18, 2009 and he is deceased.
Marie worked for 19 years at RCA as an inspector. She then worked as a cook for Marriott at Ohio Northern University Ada, Ohio, and worked as a cook at the Mennonite Memorial Home Bluffton. She also worked for Plus Health Care System Lima, Ohio. Marie was a member of Quickstep Pentecostal Church of God, Alger.
She is survived by her five sons: Jack (Kathy) Benton of Ada, Paul (Lynn) Nichols of Ada, Mark (Deb) Nichols of Findlay, Greg Nichols of Carrollton, Ga., and Steve (Gina) Nichols of Springfield, Va.; 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; two brothers: Kenneth (Betsy) Irwin of Missouri, and Bill (Ruth Ann) Irwin of Florida; and two sisters: Edna (Allen) Horton of Warner Robins, Ga., and Irene Risner of Danesville, Mich.
Marie was preceded in death by three great grandchildren: Bridgett Nichols, Michael McCoy and Kimberly Sue McCoy.
Funeral Services will begin at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 15, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger with Rev. Karen Rarey officiating. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 14, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger and until time of service on Tuesday.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hardin County Hospice, Kenton.
