As a part of the America Saves campaign, Ohio Saves has partnered with The Ohio State University Extension to encourage Ohioans to adopt a savings based outlook on their financial lives, and increase financial stability across the state.
Now that tax time is among us, Ohio Saves is working to promote America Saves Week and encourage individuals and families to consider saving at least a portion of their tax refund.
By using the 8888 tax form when filing, taxpayers have the option to split a portion of their refund into one of the following savings mechanisms – Savings Accounts and CD’s, Savings Bonds and Treasury Direct, and an IRA or myRA.
This presentation will provide some valuable information about your savings options, as well as the benefits of saving during tax time.
