Cookies. Lots of them. More than 3,000. Ada VFW Post 9381 and VFW of Ohio Charities donated 14 cartons of Girl Scout cookies to Vancrest on Monday. Barbara Sue Sutherly, age 67, died on Monday, April 10, 2017 at 5:40a.m. at Lima Memorial Health System, Lima.
She was born on January 19, 1950 in Hardin County, Ohio to Tommie and Lucy (Prater) Pitts who preceded her in death. On September 19, 1969 Barbara married Harold F. Sutherly and he survives in Ada.
Barbara was a homemaker. She previously worked for Stratton Greenhouses of Bluffton, retiring after 16 years. She was a member of the Ada Full Gospel Pentecostal Church of God. Barbara was a 1969 graduate of Ada High School and of the Marion State Beauty Academy. She was a member of the Hardin County Herb Society.
